#EDULA : A Story within 1,400 KM

Today, some of my friends ask me about this project. Precise using 5W and 1H. So, in this post I will explain special for you, hehe.

Background :
I think that this video will explain you a lot about this project. Tadaaa,

For further information, you can see the caption of that video.

The brief information :
Maybe, i will explain. What the Edula Lamp is in a few words.
EDULA is an eco-friendly portable lamp project-based on redox reaction of the circuit Volta cells as a source of electrical energy. Edula is designed to use scrap metals (Aluminum and Copper) as the source of energy and salt water as elektrolit. This lamp is designed to be used in off grid community in Indonesia, a land with 12,659 villages that lack access to electricity.

Finally :
Alhamdulillah we got Merit Award from International Energy Innovation Challenge 2016 held by the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES), Science Center Singapore, and Ministry of Education Singapore. Held in HDB Hub Atrium on 23-24 July 2016.

Behind the story :
Believe me, there was not as easy as you thing. This project started since last February, a long way to go, right. We made engineering design, first proposal and presentation, after selected we make prototype, poster, videos, banner, full paper, final presentation and a lot of another stuffs. Then, Actually it little bit hard to make the lamp on. We spent a lot time during Ramadhan to try how to make this lamp on. Alhamdulillah we found the way and the electrical systems to make it on!! Eureka!!  Alhamdulillah, berkah ramadhan.

A Story within 1,400 KM :
Look at this picture,
Do you find me?

Yeah, at that time, i am in Bangkok. Yeaaah!! Bangkok. A place within 1,400 km from Singapore. The place that i supposed to be. I had an internship opportunity in SCG Thailand, and after a long way lobbying, by emails, face by face, and by telephone. The final decision was : I cannot leave Thailand at that time. Actually, i was so sad. But, Alhamdulillah they can do the best. Proud of you Putri, Ika, Izza and Faqih =D.

What i can learn :
  1. As my HR International Internship Program in SCG told me. You cannot take all of the opportunity. Sometimes you must choose. Sometimes, something that is best for you is not something you want to hear.
  2. Believe in your friends. I cannot attend the final presentation. I cannot meet with the judges. I cannot do anything. What should i do? I just help to prepare the best i can do and let my friends do the rest =D. Alhamdulillah, they can do well without me.

Alhamdulillah, Allah always gives us the best way. Just believe it.
